Hybrid Methods Based on Genetic Algorithm for Efficient Test Data Generation

Test data generation is the process of creating a set of data for testing the acceptance of software applications. Most of the modern test case generators use Genetic Algorithm for test data generation. This approach has many drawbacks. This paper describes existing Genetic algorithm and its limitations. This paper also gives a survey on hybrid techniques that are used to overcome limitations of genetic algorithm.
